Working with ChildrenIntroduction to Working with Children Workshop Principles & Guidelines, Using a Solution Focused Approach, Nov 3rd 2013 - Southampton, investment £94.50 By Lynda Hudson Clinical Hypnotherapist Specialist in Children's Problems Author of 'Scripts and Strategies in Hypnotherapy with Children' & 'More Scripts and Strategies in Hypnotherapy' (for adults) Overview This workshop will help you identify and be prepared for the differences in approach between working with adults and working with children. It offers general principles, guidelines and good practice for the safety and protection of child and therapist alike. By using a solution focused approach it seems that often as much therapy can take place outside the trance as inside the trance. It is important to be aware of the expectations of all concerned (including your own) and to expect the unexpected and be able to use your own creativity and imagination. There will be a mix of lecture, examples of case history, questions and group discussion. Topics:
Certificate of Attendance Student notes with background information plus a selection of scripts will be provided The workshop assumes knowledge and skill using a variety of hypnotic approaches with adults but little or no experience in working with children
